Captain Mohammad Al-Dalabeh, Secretary-General of the Jordan Shipping Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Maritime Authority, took part in the Board meeting held yesterday in Aqaba. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Transport, Eng. Wesam Al-Tahtamouni, attended by the Authority’s Director General, Eng. Omar Al-Dabbas, along with other board members.
The meeting addressed key issues related to enhancing the efficiency of the maritime sector and updating relevant regulations, in addition to discussing plans for developing maritime infrastructure and improving the level of services provided to citizens and the private sector.
During his participation, Captain Al-Dalabeh emphasized the importance of continued coordination among all stakeholders to create a more competitive maritime environment that attracts investment. He also highlighted the vital role the maritime sector plays in supporting the national economy and strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional logistics hub.
The Jordan Shipping Association affirms its commitment to working closely with official bodies to advance development efforts and achieve goals related to safety, efficiency, and innovation in the maritime transport sector.
