
The Jordan Shipping Association held its 39th Annual General Assembly Meeting on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel – Amman, with broad participation from its members representing various maritime shipping companies across the Kingdom, in addition to the presence of Eng. Omar Dabbas, Director General of the Jordan Maritime Authority.
The meeting was inaugurated with a welcoming speech delivered by the Association’s President, Dr. Duraid Mahasneh, in which he highlighted the main achievements of the Board during the previous term and discussed the key challenges faced by the maritime sector in Jordan. He also emphasized the importance of continued collective efforts to advance the sector and strengthen its position both locally and regionally.
The Board then presented the administrative and financial reports for the past year, both of which were unanimously approved by the General Assembly.
At the conclusion of the meeting, elections for a new Board of Directors were held. The members were elected unopposed, and the Board was formed as follows:

• Mr. Zaid Kalaldeh, representing Philadelphia Shipping Agency
• Mr. Mashhoor Al-Jazi, representing Al-Jazi Shipping & Clearance
• Mr. Emad Sakakini, representing Pacific International Lines – Jordan
• Mr. Mohammad Abdelhadi, representing Petra International Trade & Shipping
• Mr. Abdulrahman Ali, representing Gargour Shipping Agency
• Mr. Shadi Al-Khatib, representing Maltrans Shipping Agencies & Clearance
For the Affiliate Members Category:
• Captain Waheed Abu Ajamiya, representing the Arab Ship Management Company
• Dr. Mustafa Massad, representing the Jordan Academy for Maritime Studies
• Captain Yousef Al-Sarhan, representing Aqaba Center for Maritime Education and Training
Following the election, the newly elected Board convened its first meeting and assigned the administrative positions as follows:

• Mr. Mashhoor Al-Jazi – Vice President
• Mr. Emad Sakakini – Treasurer
• Mr. Mohammad Abdelhadi – Secretary
